Paul A. Rosenbaum
A significant shareholder in Rentrak Corporation since 1994, Paul Rosenbaum served as the company's chairman of the board and chief executive officer since September 2000. In June 2009, Rentrak's board of directors appointed Bill Livek to the position of chief executive officer following an extensive four-month search personally led by Mr. Rosenbaum on behalf of the board of directors.
During his career as a legislator and in private practice, Mr. Rosenbaum acquired extensive knowledge of U.S. banking and insurance law. He served in the Michigan Legislature from 1972 to 1978, during which time he chaired the House Judiciary Committee, was legal counsel to the Speaker of the House and wrote and sponsored the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act. Additionally, Mr. Rosenbaum served on the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, as vice chairman of the Criminal Justice and Consumer Affairs Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, and on a committee of the Michigan Supreme Court responsible for reviewing local court rules. From 1980 to 1986 he served on the Board of Trustees of Springfield College. In July 2007, Mr. Rosenbaum was appointed by Oregon governor Ted Kulongoski to serve on the nine-member Board of Commissioners for the Port of Portland.
In addition to his position at Rentrak, Corp., Mr. Rosenbaum is also the CEO of SWR Corp., which he founded in 1994. Based in Michigan, SWR Corp. designs, sells and markets specialty industrial chemicals.
Bill Livek
Bill Livek is the Chief Executive Officer at Rentrak and oversees the day-to-day management of the company and is focused on growing and evolving Rentrak's business as a leading data and information analytics company to becoming a comprehensive knowledge provider to the media and entertainment industries. Mr. Livek brings three decades of experience in media, advertising and market research having worked vertically with major media and advertising agencies in executive positions at companies including Experian Marketing Services and Simmons Research Bureau.
Most recently, Mr. Livek served in a number of roles at Experian including, Co-president of Experian Research Services where he collaborated with customers to design and launch Experian's Addressable Advertising Service, as well as help expand the company's presence in China and Brazil. Previously, Mr. Livek was the co-Chair and Director of Simmons Market Research Bureau where he directed the growth and evolution of the company into a media-neutral, consumer-centric research and data business widely utilized by brands, advertising agencies and media organizations. During his tenure at Simmons Market Research Bureau, Mr. Livek orchestrated the sale of the company to Experian.
Mr. Livek was also co-founder of Transactional Data Solutions (an LLC with MasterCard), and was a principal shareholder in Birch Research and directed the integration of Birch into Scarborough Research where he served as President and CEO, growing the company to serve the top fifty markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Livek served as Vice President of Sales/Marketing for Arbitron Radio.
Mr. Livek is a frequent presenter at industry conferences including Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), Cable Advertising Bureau (CAB), Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and ESOMAR Worldwide Research Organization.

Brent D. Rosenthal is a Partner with W.R. Huff Asset Management Co., LLC. Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Rosenthal has played a key role in W.R. Huff Asset Management's private equity, public equity and fixed income investment activities in a wide variety of media and communications companies in the areas of media measurement, cable television, outdoor advertising, content, television and radio broadcasting, and satellite and wireless communications. In 2009, he was
included in Multichannel News' annual “40 Under 40” list for influencing the future of cable and telecommunications. Prior to joining W.R. Huff Asset Management, Mr. Rosenthal worked as director of mergers and acquisitions for RSL Communications, Ltd. from 1997 through 2001. Previously, he served emerging media companies for Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Mr. Rosenthal is a Certified Public Accountant. He received an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Lehigh University. Mr.
Rosenthal has served as a director of Rentrak since August 2008 and as its Vice Chairman since September 2010.
Bill Engel
Bill Engel is the chairman of Consumer Orbit, a marketing information company, which focuses on the relationship of information to transactions based on databases. During his four decades in the media and marketing information industries, Mr. Engel has made significant contributions in the media research arena; in addition to creating and marketing new information products, he is also co-holder of a patent for the integration of disparate databases. Over his illustrious career, Mr. Engel has served in various roles including as a member of the Marketing Services Group of Experian Information Solutions, Inc., and as president of Research and Operations for VNU (now The Nielsen Company). Mr. Engel has served on Rentrak's board of directors since August 2010.
Richard Hochhauser
Mr. Hochhauser is an adjunct professor at New York University Graduate School of Business. Formerly president and chief executive officer of Harte-Hanks, Inc., Mr. Hochhauser was responsible for building the company's direct marketing business during his 33-year tenure. Active in the business and philanthropic communities, Mr. Hochhauser is a member of the boards of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, as well as non-profit organizations The Jewish Museum, City at Peace, Day One and Reach the World. Mr. Hochhauser graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 1966 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering and earned an MBA from Columbia University in 1968. He has served on Rentrak's board of directors since 2009.
Anne MacDonald
Ms. MacDonald brings years of marketing leadership experience in consumer businesses and the financial services sector to her role as a director of Rentrak. Currently executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Travelers—a role she has held since July 2009—Ms. MacDonald was previously a partner with The Rockefeller Consulting Group. Prior to that, she served as the president and chief marketing officer of Macys, Inc., following several years as the chief marketing officer for Citigroup's consumer division. Additionally, Ms. MacDonald's professional experience includes serving as vice president of brand management for PepsiCo's Pizza Hut division, as well as leadership roles at N.W. Ayer advertising. Ms. MacDonald is a graduate of Boston College, and she holds a master's degree in business from the University of Bath in Bath, U.K. Ms. MacDonald has served on Rentrak's board of directors since 2009.
Martin B. O'Connor
Martin B. O'Connor is the managing partner of New Jersey-based law firm O'Connor, Morss & O'Connor, P.C., where he advises clients in the entertainment and other industries regarding their business interests including strategic planning, ownership and wealth management issues. Additionally, he is a director of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp., a pioneer in transforming movie theaters into digital and networked entertainment centers globally. Mr. O'Connor has extensive international media relationships, and serves as a director of various closely-held companies, charitable organizations, foundations and professional boards. He has served as a director of Rentrak since August 2010.
Ralph R. Shaw
Mr. Shaw has been president of Shaw Management Company, an investment counseling firm located in Portland, Oregon, since 1980, and general partner of a succession of four venture capital funds beginning in 1983. Mr. Shaw received a B.A. in public accounting from Hofstra University and a J.D. from New York University's School of Law. Mr. Shaw is a trustee of the Tax-Free Trust of Oregon. He is also a director of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., and chairs its compensation committee. Mr. Shaw served as an outside director of one of Rentrak's subsidiaries from 2000 through 2003. He also served as an adviser to the Rentrak board from 2001 until his election as a director of Rentrak in 2004.
