Bill Livek
Bill Livek is the Chief Executive Officer at Rentrak and oversees the day-to-day management of the company and is focused on growing and evolving Rentrak's business as a leading data and information analytics company to becoming a comprehensive knowledge provider to the media and entertainment industries. Mr. Livek brings three decades of experience in media, advertising and market research having worked vertically with major media and advertising agencies in executive positions at companies including Experian Marketing Services and Simmons Research Bureau.
Most recently, Mr. Livek served in a number of roles at Experian including, Co-president of Experian Research Services where he collaborated with customers to design and launch Experian's Addressable Advertising Service, as well as help expand the company's presence in China and Brazil. Previously, Mr. Livek was the co-Chair and Director of Simmons Market Research Bureau where he directed the growth and evolution of the company into a media-neutral, consumer-centric research and data business widely utilized by brands, advertising agencies and media organizations. During his tenure at Simmons Market Research Bureau, Mr. Livek orchestrated the sale of the company to Experian.
Mr. Livek was also co-founder of Transactional Data Solutions (an LLC with MasterCard), and was a principal shareholder in Birch Research and directed the integration of Birch into Scarborough Research where he served as President and CEO, growing the company to serve the top fifty markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Livek served as Vice President of Sales/Marketing for Arbitron Radio.
Mr. Livek is a frequent presenter at industry conferences including Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), Cable Advertising Bureau (CAB), Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and ESOMAR Worldwide Research Organization.
Kenneth Papagan
Ken Papagan's career in media and entertainment spans three decades and includes service to some of the industry's most prestigious and recognizable names. Mr. Papagan has been instrumental in helping set the standards for television today, having served as a founding executive of nine television networks including Qube, Nickelodeon, MTV, The Movie Channel, ON TV, The Fashion Channel and the JCPenney Shopping Channel, for which he was co-executive producer.
Over the course of the last decade, Mr. Papagan has primarily focused on digital media across all platforms globally. From 1997 until 2001, he held several positions at Internet consulting firm iXL Inc. including global general manager of the firm's fastest growing practice groups, Digital Media and Broadband Solutions. Here, Mr. Papagan held a client base that included AT&T Broadband, Bloomberg Television, Flextech (U.K.), AOL, Fox and CPB, among several others.
In November 2002, Mr. Papagan joined Rentrak Corporation, Ken is responsible for new business initiatives in cross platform reporting.
Amir Yazdani
Serving as executive vice president of information technology and chief information officer, Amir Yazdani is one of Rentrak's most senior executives, having joined the company in 1986. Throughout the last 20-plus years, his contributed influence and expertise have been crucial to the company's continued growth and success. As the head of Rentrak's expansive IT department, Mr. Yazdani has overseen the inception and development of Rentrak's lineup of revolutionary systems and products including, but not limited to, Box Office Essentials®, OnDemand Essentials® and TV Essentials™, as well as Rentrak's interactive advertising tracking service. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Yazdani also served as CIO of Rentrak's former subsidiary 3PF.COM, Inc.
Mr. Yazdani obtained a BS in electrical and computer engineering from Oregon State University before receiving his Masters degree in computer engineering from the University of Portland. He is an ISSA Advisory Council Board Member.
David Chemerow
David Chemerow joined Rentrak in October 2009 as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, bringing with him 35 years of experience serving a variety of public and private media and entertainment companies where he helped drive revenue and profits, while investing strategically for growth and improving efficiencies.
Prior to joining Rentrak, Mr. Chemerow most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Olympus Media LLC, an outdoor advertising sales company. He also served as chief operating officer of ADcom Information Services, Inc., a provider of television data and analytics services to cable operators, where he worked directly for Rentrak's CEO Bill Livek. Additionally, Mr. Chemerow was chief operating officer of GT Interactive Software Corp., a computer games publisher, and in positions of increasing responsibility for Primerica Corp. (formerly known as American Can Co.) including senior vice president of operations, corporate controller and corporate treasurer.
Mr. Chemerow is the non-executive chairman of the board of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., where he previously served as executive vice president, finance and operations and chief financial officer. At Playboy, Mr. Chemerow was responsible for the majority of the company's operational and financial functions and helped increase its market capitalization more than three-fold.
Mr. Chemerow currently serves on the board of directors of Dunham's Athleisure Corp., a sporting goods retailer, where he has been chairman of the compensation committee since 1995.
Bruce Goerlich
Bruce Goerlich joined Rentrak in August 2009 as the company's chief research officer. Throughout his 25-year-career at leading advertising agencies, he has been a driving force in the development of new and actionable media research approaches including the adoption of new media technologies, TV optimization, econometrics and understanding consumer lifestyles.
Prior to his position at Rentrak, Mr. Goerlich was most recently president of strategic resources at ZenithOptimedia, North America. Additionally, he served as chairman of the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) and was president of the Market Research Association. He has also served as a guest lecturer in advertising and research topics at Columbia University Business School.
Committed to maintaining close ties to advertising industry leadership, Mr. Goerlich continues to serve as co-chair of the Advertising Research Foundation's 360 Media Planning Committee and is a frequent speaker and contributor to research industry forums including the “ARF Audience Measurement 4.0” conference, European Society of Marketing Research and the American Marketing Association.
Mr. Goerlich graduated from Williams College and completed graduate work at Washington University and the New School for Social Research. His published works include a co-authored paper, presented at the 2001 International Print Research Symposium, about using Internet techniques for print research, which won the Chairman's Award. Mr. Goerlich resides in New York City and enjoys volunteering with St. Luke's In The Field Hospital Visiting Team.
Ron Giambra
Ron Giambra joined Rentrak in 2001 as vice president, theatrical before assuming the position of senior vice president, theatrical in early 2003. In February 2008, Mr. Giambra was once again promoted, this time to executive vice president, theatrical worldwide.
Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Giambra oversees the company's theatrical division, which includes more than 60 employees in the LA and Portland offices. In his time with the company, Mr. Giambra has been instrumental in developing and launching the box office performance reporting system, Box Office Essentials®, both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining Rentrak, Mr. Giambra held various management positions with motion picture distribution companies, including Tribune Media from 2000 to 2001, Destination Films in 1999 and 2000, Polygram Film Entertainment from 1997 to 1999 and Orion Films from 1983 to 1997.
Christopher Roberts
Christopher Roberts has worked in all facets of Rentrak's sales department, starting out as an account executive before being promoted to the company's national director of sales in 1992. In 1994, Mr. Roberts was named vice president, sales, a title he held until June 2003 when being promoted to his current position. Prior to Rentrak, Mr. Roberts was an account executive for National Video, Inc.
Cathy Hetzel
Cathy Hetzel joined Rentrak in March 2004 following a one-year consulting relationship with the company. Previously, beginning in March 2000, Ms. Hetzel was senior vice president, business development at Concero, an interactive television, VOD and electronic commerce services company. Additionally, Ms. Hetzel was senior vice president of Digital Cable Radio Associates, a partnership of several music recording companies and cable operators. As president of Rentrak's Advanced Media Information Division (AMID), Ms. Hetzel holds full operating and financial accountability for the division. In her time with the company, she has utilized her leadership experience and digital entertainment industry knowledge to effectively drive growth and revenue for Rentrak's Entertainment Essentials™ suite of services.
Marty Graham
In his 20 years with Rentrak, Marty Graham has served in various key positions throughout the company. Before being promoted to his current position in October 2005, Mr. Graham served as chief operating officer, PPT Division starting in January 2005. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, studio relations from May 2002 through December 2004; vice president, product development beginning in 1991; and, starting in October 1988, director of product development. Mr. Graham has played a crucial role in the development of Rentrak's PPT model and division. Prior to joining Rentrak, Mr. Graham served as general manager and secretary/treasurer of Pacific Western Video Corporation.
Timothy Erwin
Timothy Erwin has been with Rentrak since July 1991. Prior to being promoted to vice president, sales and customer relations in June 2000, Mr. Erwin held various positions within the company including manager of customer services and key accounts as well as senior director of customer relations. Before joining Rentrak, Mr. Erwin was a district manager for National Video, Inc.
